Construction Engineering Overview
Construction engineering is the application of math and science to engineering design and management of construction projects. Construction engineers study construction methods and processes, construction project planning and control, and resource management. They have a strong foundation in civil and environmental engineering design, planning and operations, as well as broader understanding of economics, management, policy, equipment and leadership.
